PrevPreviousRecession, what typically happens during a recession. The biggest concern is unemployment. However, the pandemic created employee shortage where employees gained negotiating power. This doesn’t mean that some industries won’t be affected such as construction and the mortgage industry as the housing market cools but unemployment may continue to stay relatively low. The housing market has certainly slowed down but the demand is still there as our population in the United States increases. We may already be in a recession, the question is for how long and who will be affected the most.
