Is this a good time to take capital gain loses? Think again, and revise your specific holdings. There may be some definite losers but as long as you do not need the loss and you maintain a long term view on your portfolio, I’d say just hang in there as selling at a loss may mean jumping back a bit late and buying higher.

Inflation measures how much more expensive a set of goods and services has become over a certain period, usually a year. Inflation has plunged countries into long periods of instability which explains part of the volatility in the stock market. On that note, we need to remember we’ve had low interest rates which has helped advance the economy for businesses. An adjustment was due and we will reach a balance.
